Le damassé exclusif Comper Jay

Sir Ninian Comper (1864-1960) is one of the greatest of the Victorian Gothic Revival architects. He designed and commissioned 7 designs from the English Company M.Perkins & Son. The "Jay" design is one of them. Recognisable with the presence of this bird in the design. After several decades of absence, this design is back since 2017. This damask is made by its original manufacturer M. Perkins & Son.
Now exclusive to Maris Stella Vestments, the Comper Jay damask had made a come back to liturgical use now in its four colour produced. Sets made with this damask are marked CJ for Comper Jay
The picture on the left shows the sample test of damask made before launching its production in 2017.
